Who We Are

The definition of Abide means allowing His Word to fill our minds, direct our paths, and transform our affections. “How Abide began started with a dream. I was in Doula training for almost a year while planning my own wedding simultaneously. It was a lot! However, the Lord has always been faithful, and I knew He would not fail me now. He is the ONLY one who fills me with peace that surpasses all understanding. I was overwhelmed trying to think of an impactful name for my doula business, so I asked the Lord to speak to me in my dreams. And, let me tell you, it did not happen right away, but I remained patient. After several months of waiting, there it was… ABIDE. This word was so clearly embedded into my mind. The next morning, I looked up the definition of Abide – it means to await, remain, lodge, dwell, and endure. There is not a more perfect word I could ask for. Thank you Lord!”
